The California Mid-State Fair is a well-known Central Coast institution, providing an unmatched entertainment venue for residents and visitors. BCA provided graphic design and broadcast production.

Outcome

The attendance of headline entertainment for 2011 was up +15%.

 

 

Description

Retail advertising and public relations for a locally owned company selling appliances, bedding and furniture with four locations on the Central Coast. Providing full-service strategic communications planning, creative and production services, media planning and buying.

Description

The Hearst Corporation offered to abandon its development rights on 82,000 acres of pristine Central Coast ranchland, but the Sierra Club mobilized nationally to demand unreasonable additional concessions. BCA provided public relations strategy and execution, including organizing supporter rallies at the State Capitol, managing media relations and generating grassroots support.

Outcome

Hearst not only won the war of public opinion, it won the war of governmental opinion. Hearst’s historic commitment to gift over 13 miles of California Coastline to the people of California and to not develop its land means the property will remain in its pristine condition forever.

 

 

Description

The landowner ran into opposition from a powerful group of residents when it wanted to build a new Target store on the site of a former landfill. BCA provided public relations, social media and branding support.

Outcome

After a protracted series of hearings, Target won approval and the project is underway.
