
Barnett Cox & Associates Inc. was recognized with 10 ADDY awards in the 2008 competition sponsored by the American Advertising Federation.
"The public relations and marketing firm won one gold award, six silver awards and three bronze awards," said Dave Cox, BC&A chief operations officer.
Winners in the gold category automatically advance to the next level of U.S. competition.
Gold honors were won for client work done for marketing communications materials produced for Rice Ranch in Santa Maria. The silver awards recognized BC&A for client work including Mission Community Bank in print advertising; the Performing Arts Center Forbes Pipe Organ, for its organ debut program; City of San Luis Obispo tourism in magazine advertising; Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for sports medicine print advertising; Dunes on Monterey Bay in print advertising; and BC&A's own sales materials for its direct mail campaign.
Bronze awards were received for the City of Paso Robles for police recruitment video, produced in association with Bonnie Ernst of Pacific Coast Productions; the California Mid-State Fair for billboard advertising; and Cellular One of San Luis Obispo's "Talk is Cheap" campaign.
BCA is owned by longtime San Luis Obispo residents Dave and Maggie Cox.
