CHALLENGE
With a limited budget, limited man-hours, an outdated logo and overall lack of branding, the association was struggling to boost sales and attendance at lesser-known markets in Morro Bay, Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo.

GOAL
Rebrand the outdated logo, web and print presence to reflect the vibrancy of the farmers’ market and convey its community spirit. Boost the awareness of lesser-known markets in Morro Bay, Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo through print and social media campaigns in order to increase farmers’ sales, attract the existing audience on a more regular basis, and appeal to new customers. Portray the community spirit at the market with personal quotes and farmer/patron photos on Facebook.

RESULT
In the first two months, the association’s Facebook page went from 0-1,200 fans, with an average daily post reach of more than 500 people. Sales increased at 4 of 5 markets, with a dramatic improvement in sales at the Saturday morning market that set lifetime sales records.
