When City of San Luis Obispo planners created the long range development plan, they were looking out for the best interest of the city. Extending Prado Road would improve the city’s traffic flow and prepare for future development for the city. However, a small, vocal group proposed Measure H and irresponsibly used misinformation and scare tactics to attempt to stifle smart planning for future growth. Measure H challengers called BCA.
A bold, fact-based public relations campaign against Measure H saved San Luis Obispo from unnecessary future traffic congestion around Prado Road, and maintained plans for future long-term development. Measure H was voted down, with a whopping 80% of voters in opposition. Smart planning wins.
