Susan McDonald started her writing career as a reporter for a small weekly newspaper and later became editor. She moved to writing for a daily and earned statewide honors for education coverage. Always ready for a new challenge, she jumped into a public relations career at BCA for clients such as Hearst Corporation, Cal Poly and Trilogy Central Coast. Then the advertising bug bit. She had no idea writing 30-second TV commercials could be so rewarding. And now she has a few Addy and Communicator Awards to prove it.

Susan enjoys riding her Icelandic horse, Godi, taking long walks with her husband, Bob, and outsmarting the gophers intent on ravishing her vegetable garden.
